The end of the year is just around the corner and we’re excited to see what’s in store for 2020. With the future on our minds, we’ve been tasked with providing some insights on the design trends we envision for 2020. Without further ado, here are they are!
Woven and Rounded Forms
We love the introduction of round and woven forms in design. We’ve seen many examples of these fluid shapes in 2019, and combining them into beautifully, natural pieces is going to be super popular in the new year.
Hued Countertops
The new year will bring a welcomed alternative to bright, white kitchens and countertops. While Carrara marble has long been the go-to countertop request from clients, and of course people will continue to utilize them, we’re predicting that saturated colors and a greater variety of stones will be the future of kitchen design. Materials with muted undertones of blues or greens, and darker tones of gray and cream will take over the scene.
Abstract and Cubist Art Work
Abstract and cubist artwork is everywhere, and we see this trend continuing.
Floating Kitchen Islands
“Floating” or “furniture-style” kitchen islands have been popping up, and we would like to explore this more in 2020. Installing an island that looks more like a movable piece of furniture makes the space feel larger and cozier that a traditional island.
